Karate for Beginners

Introducing You to Karate

Beginning Your Karate Journey

Experience tells us the hardest thing for most people is attending a class for the first time. We recognise how daunting it can be to walk through the door and meet a new group of people and try something unfamiliar and different. It was the same for all of us.

Please be reassured:

  • We aim to make that first step as easy as possible.
  • We want you to feel welcome and
  • We will do everything we can to help you settle in and feel comfortable.

That's part of our "People-Centric Karate" pledge.

If you live in Bristol, Bath, or the surrounding areas, you may attend four lessons absolutely free and without any obligation to join. Not all karate is the same so this allows you the opportunity to meet us and at least get a flavour of what we do.

What to expect:

  • Once you have met the friendly instructor you will be invited to take part in the warm-up which generally lasts around 20 minutes.
  • The warm-up usually consists of gentle aerobic exercise followed by some simple stretching. Our members are of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities so everyone works at their own pace.
  • After the warm-up, you will be introduced to a slightly more experienced class member, not necessarily a black belt, who will help you with some basic techniques, and support you throughout the session.

The instructor will always be available to you to answer any questions you may have.

We have created an information sheet detailing all the costs involved. If you would like a copy please complete the contact form below.

Alternatively, you are welcome to drop into any of our venues.

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to meeting and hopefully practicing with you sometime soon.

Yours faithfully.

Rob Jones
